Segway PT Demo's Available November 2013 at Segway of Oakland in Oakland CA
Oakland, CA (PRWEB) November 08, 2013 -- Segway of Oakland now has used Segway PT's available at lower prices for the first time in over a year, and through Segway Inc. also has also introduced a new financing program allowing consumers to purchase a new or used Segway PT with little or no money down.
Segway of Oakland is replacing units, and is blowing out rental fleet units starting at only $4800 for a perfectly functioning Segway PT x2 or a Segway PT i2. And now for the first time both new and used Segway PT i2's and Segway PT x'2s can be financed under a lot of new options.
"The Segway PT is the world's first self-balancing vehicle, and now Bay Area residents can experience the Segway PT free monday through friday from 10 am to 12:30 pm every weekday as part of our new program! “And, now you can stand up on a Segway PT and see what it feels like for free," said Darren Romar from Segway of Oakland.
Segway of Oakland has x2's and i2's, and it is the only place in the Bay Area where you can try a Segway PT for free. "We're giving out the experience because once you feel what a Segway is like you'll want to ride it more," continued Romar. "With the cheapest lesson and tour packages in the Bay Area, you can do a lesson and tour for as low as $27.50," he said.
All of Segway of Oakland's rental units are in excellent condition and they are available for demo's every weekday morning until 12pm for Bay Area residents. These machines are thoroughly inspected for rider safety. "The Segway PT is super safe; even though some people think it’s dangerous, it gets a bad rap for being dangerous, but it's way safer than something like a motorcycle, and it's really easier than a bike and can even be ridden indoors," continued Romar.
The Segway PT retails for $6535 - $7035.00 and it weighs 120 lbs. The maximum speed of a Segway PT is 12.5 mph, and the range is up to 12-16 miles. It is designed for both indoor and outdoor use.
"The Segway PT runs on lithium ion battries. Commuting or traveling short distances is what the Segway is made for. It's new and unique green transportation," said Rich Espinoza, General Manager of Segway of Oakland.
All of the units featured are Gen 2 Segway PT machines with lean steer technology. "You will have all of the items that you will need to use the Segway PT: charge cord, one brand new InfoKey Controller, fully charged 100% batteries, and good high grade tires and wheels. Everything is included and these units are 100% complete," added Espinoza.
The Segway PT x2 and i2 both have the latest lean steer technology, which allows the rider to steer by tilting the handlebars left and right, which in turn, steers the unit left and right. Leaning forwards and backwards accelerates and decelerates the rider.
The Segway PT i2 has narrower tires whereas the Segway PT x2 has wider tires. Both units are available for free demonstration at 212 International Blvd Oakland CA 94606. For more information call 1-888-8SEGWAY (1-888-873-4929) or visit our website at http://www.segwayofoakland.com.
