Document generation software and reporting software leader Windward has launched an unprecedented marketing initiative rarely seen in the B2B world. Windward is offering free copies of the popular AutoTag template design tool to businesses that enter the 30-Day Challenge and end up switching to one of Windward's reporting or document generation solutions.
The Windward 30-Day Challenge is a unique marketing approach in two primary ways. One, it guarantees companies will get a full-blown enterprise reporting system installed and working within 30 business days. And two, it rewards companies that switch to Windward with a complimentary copy of the flagship product AutoTag.
"It's often a good thing when marketing leaders pull on their well-rounded experience in other industries and bring new, unconventional marketing campaigns into their present industry," said Annette Grotz, Acting Marketing Director at Windward. "We end up being marketing disruptors."
Using Windward, companies insert their data into templates designed in the Microsoft Office add-in AutoTag. Reports and documents are generated in the Windward Engine, which is available for .NET or Java, or via the web-based Javelin server. The final product can be output in a wide range of formats, including DOCX, XLSX, PDF, HTML, direct to printer, RTF, XLS, WordML, TXT, and CSV.
In order to participate in the Windward 30-Day Challenge, companies must meet some qualifications. They must have a working knowledge of their data, which is stored in an SQL database or XML file. They must have a minimum of at least five templates or report samples in a Word or Excel format. And they must have English-speaking staff members knowledgeable in their environment structure, how to implement programmatic API calls in code (.NET or Java), how their data is structured, and how to access it.
In return, Windward will work with companies to provide any support and tools needed to install the Windward solution. The process includes a live demo, help with template conversion, and free trainings. If a company is unsuccessful in completing the challenge, and still wants to switch to Windward, Windward will provide it with six hours of template conversion time. And all participants will be eligible for a complimentary AutoTag with a qualifying purchase as a new customer.
The deadline for signing up for the Windward 30-Day Challenge is November 1, 2013. For more information, visit http://go.windward.net/FreeReportingTool.html.
