BIME Analytics Opens U.S. Headquarters, Expands Leadership Team
Montpelleir/France and Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) October 30, 2013 -- BIME, the pioneer in true cloud business intelligence (BI), today announced it is opening a U.S. office in the fast-growing tech hub of Kansas City, to become a global player with a strong presence on both sides of the Atlantic. To oversee U.S. operations, the company has appointed Jim Lysinger as its Vice President of North America.
“We are proud that one third of our customers are U.S.-based. With our dual headquarters in Kansas City and Montpellier we can provide outstanding global customer support and aggressively expand our footprint in North America,” said Rachel Delacour, CEO and cofounder of BIME. “Our local presence allows us to be even closer to the growing number of U.S. businesses that want true cloud BI without the complexity and high costs.”
BIME was founded in 2009 in the French R&D hotbed of Montpellier and continues to be the only true cloud BI offering that turns the entire web into a seamlessly connected data warehouse, allowing companies to query data sources across the entire web in real-time. Unlike hybrid BI competitors that require costly on-site installation or even appliances, BIME is a pay-as-you-go service that runs in any browser or mobile device.
Jim Lysinger joins BIME as Vice President of North America with a deep understanding of developing and executing strategic growth plans. During ten years with Genesys Conferencing, he successfully transformed regionally autonomous sales and marketing teams into one globally cohesive organization with 280 sales and marketing personnel in 23 countries while revenue tripled to $225 million. Previously, Jim held leadership positions with Williams Conferencing, ITC Media, and Sprint.
“Cloud BI is a rapidly growing market, and BIME is one terrific product that transforms how companies make better business decisions,” said Lysinger. “I look forward to making BIME a household name for innovative solutions that turn every organization into a data-driven enterprise.”
Kansas City is rapidly emerging as an attractive location for start-ups seeking access to talent and modern infrastructure. The Kauffman Foundation, one of the premier think tanks for entrepreneurial research, ranks its hometown Kansas City third among large metro areas for start-up activity in the past decade. Kansas City is also gaining national attention for its KC Launch initiative by Mayor Sly James to attract high-tech companies and the nation’s first roll-out of the Google Fiber broadband service.
BIME will start with an initial team of seven employees, focusing on sales and support, and plans to accelerate headcount growth in 2014. The company will also increase staff at its French headquarters in Montpellier, doubling the overall company size by the end of this year.
“Kansas City is a fast growing high-tech community and BIME selecting our city for their American headquarters is proof of that,” said Kansas City Mayor Sly James. “It’s also proof that capitalizing on our assets, like Launch KC, is a smart economic development strategy. The Crossroads area is seeing tremendous growth and BIME has made a smart move to join that momentum.”
BIME has won praise among analysts as the only true cloud BI architecture that frees companies from expensive capital expenses and time-consuming set-up and training. BIME consists of an HTML5 framework, an in-memory calculation engine built for speed, and a powerful feature set. BIME was the first vendor to offer a BI front-end for Google BigQuery. The completely browser-based service does not require a company to hire expensive data scientists to mine its business. Users can connect to almost any data source, no matter whether it is on-premise or in the cloud, and analyze and visualize live data to ask business questions in the moment.
BIME is located in The Crossroads neighborhood at 1812 Broadway Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64108.
