Vaughn Thermal Corporation manufactures long life residential electric water heaters with superior thermal retention and enhanced durability. Vaughn water heaters are built to last – unlike conventional water heaters, the Vaughn models are protected from corrosion and rust by incorporating a seamless Hydrastone® lining to the tank. Vaughn water heaters are almost impervious to rust and corrosion, with average tank life exceeding 28 years.

Vaughn water heaters are protected against rust and corrosion due to the non-ferrous metal fittings at all tank openings and the use of Hydrastone® lining: a ½” thick layer of specially formulated cement is applied to the interior of the water heater tank, completely covering the steel and thereby protecting it from corrosive minerals found in aggressive hot water. When Vaughn water heaters are first filled, the Hydrastone® lining absorbs water through capillary action and permanently traps it in the lining. This trapped water then loses its oxygen, thus forming a protective anti-corrosive layer ensuring the longevity of the tank.

Vaughn ME-Series Water Heaters feature heat retaining Hydrastone® lining for ultimate tank protection against rust and corrosion. The Vaughn ME-Series Water Heaters minimize heat loss and maximize efficiency featuring a 3 inch layer of polyurethane insulation foam. Vaughn Thermal Corporation also provides a factory direct premium 15-year residential tank warranty against tank failure. An additional 5-year tank warranty can be purchased at an additional cost.
