Agilisys Arch has announced the launch of a new Digital Marketing Apprenticeship qualification. This is great news for employers who are struggling to get hold of the digital marketing skills they need and great news for young people, many of whom have the requisite 'raw materials' to be great digital marketeers, but who lack the mechanisms for getting their careers started.

A digital marketing apprentice in action

We are really pleased that so many companies got involved to develop a qualification that will support the digital sector and help thousands of young people get into productive roles in the economy.

A new digital marketing apprenticeship qualification, led by Agilisys Arch and developed “by employers for employers,” has received the green light from the Skills Funding Agency. This means that thousands of young people can now be trained to be the digital marketing professionals of the future.

The qualification, a level 3 Diploma certified by City & Guilds, covers crucial digital skills such as Search Engine Marketing, Data Analysis and Social Media. These skills are in short supply as companies, charities and government organisations seek to use new online multi-channel technologies to deliver more for customers and citizens at less cost.

The qualification has been developed by Agilisys Arch, the specialist apprenticeship division of fast growing IT and business services firm Agilisys. Agilisys Arch has worked with a number of leading digital firms, including Incisive Media, Zipcar and Google to develop the new qualification. This means that it delivers what employers really need in order to train up their next generation of digital talent. Ten apprentices have already started on the new qualification through Agilisys Arch which has in total started over 150 young people on their careers through apprenticeships since it started in August 2012.

Ben Rowland, Co-Founder of Agilisys Arch, said: “We are really excited by the new qualification. As an employer we felt that there wasn’t an apprenticeship qualification that was fit-for-purpose for the digital marketing needs of our business, especially as we continue to expand our offerings. There is now. We are really pleased that so many other digital companies got involved and helped us to develop a qualification that will support the digital sector and help thousands of young people get into productive roles in the economy.”

Employers who want to hire digital marketing apprentices and young people who are 16-18 years old and who want to become digital marketing apprentices should go to to find out more.
