PreDiabetes Centers to Appear at Diabetes EXPO in Pittsburgh
(PRWEB) November 03, 2013 -- The PreDiabetes Center of Pittsburgh is proud to announce its participation in the American Diabetes Association EXPO November 9 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
The free event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and host speakers and workshops with experts talking about diabetes management, research and prevention. Cooking demonstrations, health screenings and athletics sessions will be held throughout the day.
Representatives from the PreDiabetes Center of Pittsburgh will be at the EXPO conducting complimentary diabetes risk surveys for anyone interested in learning if they are at risk for prediabetes or diabetes.
Additionally, the staff from the PreDiabetes Center of Pittsburgh can set appointments for a free advanced blood screening at its clinic. The screening examines 12 different biomarkers, including glucose, hemoglobin A1c, vitamin B12, C-reactive protein and others. Anyone who signs up for the free blood screening will automatically be entered into a drawing to win a two-month supply of nutrition bars.
