Carlos Alcazar Appointed to NEEF Board of Directors
Washington, DC (PRWEB) November 06, 2013 -- Carlos Alcazar joins the Board of Directors at the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Mr. Alcazar is President and CEO of the Hispanic Communications Network, the leading producer and distributor of educational and informational media serving US Hispanic communities. Carlos leads HCN’s teams in their work to inform, empower and engage Hispanic communities. As a multicultural media and marketing expert with a deep background in education, he has built and manages the largest social and cause marketing media firm targeting Hispanics.

Mr. Alcazar’s HCN leadership includes award-winning work for government agencies such as the CDC, Departments of Justice, Transportation, Energy, Health and Human Services as well as NGO’s like LIVESTRONG, American Heart Association, NCLR, and Epilepsy Foundation among others. Previously, Carlos led educational media divisions of several companies like Pearson, PLC and Viacom and was responsible for launching worldwide media ventures. His organizations have delivered programming through television, radio, publishing and broadband to millions of people around the world.
Community service is important to Carlos and he serves on numerous national nonprofit boards. He is a regular speaker on issues related to multicultural marketing, media, and education. He started his career as a teacher in South Central Los Angeles; he uses mass media to make his “classroom” much bigger now.
