Treasured Garment Restoration was proud to take part in a special charity event for “Brides Against Breast Cancer” last weekend. “Brides Against Breast Cancer” is an amazing charity that contributes to various programs for cancer patients and their families. Brides Against Breast Cancer will contribute $2 million dollars this year alone to help people impacted by cancer! This bridal show was able to provide brides-to-be with an opportunity to find an outstanding wedding gown at a great savings. The event gave brides a chance to meet some of the area’s top wedding vendors, to participate in exciting giveaways, and to find the wedding gown of their dreams – all while supporting a great cause.
Treasured Garment Restoration’s specialty Wedding Gown Designer, Darcy Zeppernick, donated her time to the event to help brides with fittings and alterations of their new-found wedding gowns. She was even able to help a few brides plan their very own Wedding Gown design from scratch. Darcy’s background includes designing elaborate costumes for well-known plays such as, the importance of being Earnest, “A Christmas Carol” and more. She has worked with several brides to update vintage gowns and to re-design the gown for their own tastes.
