The NFL HOPE Program Will Launch The Super Bowl Symposium At The Long Island Dental Sleep Medicine Sleep Apnea Awareness Event With Pro Player Health Alliance
Long Island, New York (PRWEB) November 08, 2013 -- Dr. Neal Seltzer and Dr. Jeffrey Rein of Long Island Dental Sleep Medicine will be the first east coast dentists to work with the NFL HOPE program at the Super Bowl Symposium. They are set to launch at the free public awareness event on December 5, 2013 in Long Island. This will also be the first public awareness event that will be meant to screen former NFL players for sleep apnea. Pro Player Health Alliance expects to have over thirty former players there to be treated with hundreds of people from the gerneral public in the audience to learn about sleep apnea.
The HOPE (Heart, Obesity, Prevention & Education) Program for former National Football League (NFL) athletes was established in 2013 as a comprehensive obesity research initiative designed to promote healthy lifestyles and weight-management among former professional football players. Pro Player Health Alliance has been the means for treatment for over 160 NFL greats partnering with Living Heart Foundation.
David Gergen says, "Dr. Rein and Dr. Seltzer are two of the finest dentists I know; I only refer the players I work with to the best doctors in the country. After this event, I want Dr. Rein and Dr. Seltzer to be known as the doctors who treat NFL greats. They will do a great job in New Jersey at the Super Bowl Symposium this year."
O.J. Anderson, in addition to Derek Kennard, will be the second Super Bowl Champion attending the event. Dr. Seltzer and Dr. Rein, due to their many years of experience and practicing in New York, have been trusted by O.J. Anderson to screen/treat him for his sleep apnea prior to the event.
