Meers Wins Award of Excellence in Communication Arts’ Annual Advertising Competition
Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) November 12, 2013 -- Meers, a full-service advertising agency, was recognized by Communication Arts (CA) magazine for its recent work with Great Plains SPCA, Kansas City’s most comprehensive animal welfare organization.
CA, a professional journal for those involved in creativity in visual communications, published its winners of the annual competition in the upcoming issue. Of the 4,350 entries submitted, Meers was selected as one of the top 138 campaigns, winning an Award of Excellence from the publication.
The goal was to create a campaign that brings light to a community-wide issue in an edgy, attention-grabbing way. Meers joined forces with Ron Berg Photography and Tiffany Matson to design and produce the print campaign. A full campaign consisted of this series of print ads, a television commercial and guerilla marketing pieces that focused on the unwanted mannerisms of un-spayed and un-neutered pets.

Meers’ work will be featured in Advertising Annual 54, the November/December 2013 issue of CA, both in print and in digital versions. The publication currently has the largest international circulation of any trade journal on visual communications.
