Center Stage Productions Creates New Soft Play Park Providing Meaningful, Family-Friendly Fun at Sikes Senter Mall
Wichita Falls, TX (PRWEB) November 13, 2013 -- A new custom soft play park is bringing fun and pride to a Wichita Falls, Texas shopping mall. Created by Center Stage Productions, a leading designer, manufacturer and installer of commercial décor, has developed a brand new regionally themed soft play area that celebrates the U.S. Air Force and Texas heritage for Sikes Senter, a shopping mall owned by Rouse Properties. Located five miles away from Sheppard Air Force Base, the shopping center is a focal point of retail for the local community, which includes many military families.

We see ourselves as the center of the community,” said Benjamin Schall, Chief Operating Officer of Rouse Properties. “Our deep appreciation for our local community and military families was the inspiration for the design of the play elements included in our new soft play area,” explained Schall.
The custom themed play area features a sleek T-38 Talon jet trainer upon which children can let their imaginations take them for a ride, in honor of nearby Sheppard Air Force Base, the U.S. Air Force’s largest training base for air education and training command. The jet’s tail is emblazoned with the emblems of the 80th Flying Training Wing and the 82nd Training Wing, both hosted at Sheppard Air Force Base.
Other soft play structures include a gushing oil derrick, symbolizing Wichita Falls’ history as home to several oil companies, and a bucking bronco in recognition of both the working Texas ranch cowboys and the rodeo, which is the official sport of Texas. The gushing oil derrick and the bucking bronco have steps and slides to provide playing children with action-packed adventures.
To add to the fun, peek-a-boo portholes within the play area’s enclosure will keep children entertained. Additional amenities of the play area include comfortable seating, shoe cubbies and exterior counter space.
With Sikes Senter Mall’s littlest visitors in mind, Center Stage Productions has put several safety measures in place during the fabrication and installation process. All play pieces have high-quality, super soft foam surfaces that are smooth and protective. The size of each play piece is just the right scale for children and the grab points are positioned where playing children would expect to find them. In addition, these safe and secure play structures are anchored upon a padded carpet, which absorbs impact and exceeds ASTM’s standards for drop and fall ratings, helping to keep children safe.
