Co-Founder Sharon Barkai to Discuss Reliability and Performance of NFV Solutions for Telcos

ConteXtream, the leading Carrier-SDN solution provider, today announced that Sharon Barkai, co-founder of ConteXtream, will speak at this week’s Software Telco Congress, presented by TMCNet. During the panel, entitled “Getting it Right: Performance Testing and Limitations of COTS,” Barkai will discuss Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) solutions and the performance testing and limitations of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware.

The session will discuss how telcos can ensure network reliability and performance when moving to a software model, as well as the role of hypervisor limits and media and signaling capabilities in planning. Panelists will also address whether telcos can achieve a necessary level of scalability with partial virtualization, and the corresponding implications on wireless networks.
