International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) Names Sarah Frankel 2013 Rising Star
Fairfax, Virginia (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- The International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), the premier international, networking and professional growth organization for women in the restructuring and insolvency industry, announced today that it has awarded Sarah Frankel, Business Development Specialist at Garden City Group and Co-Chair of the IWIRC New York Network, its 2013 Rising Star Award. Ms. Frankel, chosen among four other finalists and twelve nominees, was recognized during IWIRC’s 20th Annual Fall Conference Luncheon in Atlanta, Georgia on October 30, 2013.
Ms. Frankel is a committed and tireless professional, and IWIRC leader. Under her co-leadership of the IWIRC New York Network, she has reinvigorated the network and its membership with unique, creative, and educational programs. From poker nights and virtual book clubs, to improv nights that included a chance to be on national television, and the creation of iWORKout fitness events, she has helped build IWIRC’s prominence and membership.
“Our networking events are primarily social, but with lessons we hope will better our guests both personally and professionally,” said Frankel. “IWIRC has supported me throughout my career, I am honored to be the 2013 Rising Star, and look forward to continuing my involvement with the organization.”
According to Jennifer Meyerowitz, Chair of IWIRC, “Sarah is a smart, driven, and enthusiastic go-getter who embodies IWIRC and its mission. We are grateful for her contributions to the IWIRC NY Network and the overall organization.”
In its third year, the Rising Star Award is bestowed upon an IWIRC member with eight or less years of experience in her respective field, who has made considerable contributions to her professional success and displayed a high-level of commitment to advancing IWIRC’s mission—enhancing the professional status of women in the insolvency and restructuring profession—at the local, national and/or international levels.
