Holiday Toy Collection Site for Raleigh Rescue Mission in Heritage
Wake Forest & Rolesville, NC (PRWEB) November 21, 2013 -- Ammons Development Group is asking the Heritage community for donations to brighten the season for homeless families. The fifth annual Heritage toy drive will benefit the children served by the Raleigh Rescue Mission. Members of the master-planned community in Wake Forest and Rolesville can donate new, unwrapped gifts for infants to teenagers through December 15.
“Part of building a strong community is helping others,” says Andy Ammons, president of Ammons Development Group, Heritage developer. “Whether it’s helping a neighbor who needs an extra hand or brightening a child’s day, giving to others is what this time of year is truly about. We believe this is one way the Heritage community can come together to brighten the day for young children to teenagers who are facing struggles most of us have never experienced. It’s just a small act I believe is part of belonging to a great community.”
In Wake County alone, more than 1,115 people are homeless on any given night, including 177 children. Raleigh Rescue Missions offers support services and a safe place to stay for homeless families and reports moving 103 people into housing each year.
Donations can be left at the Heritage Sales Center at 804 Heritage Lake Road and the Heritage Clubhouse at 1250 Heritage Club Avenue.
