Online mediation isn’t the same as e-mediation, where mediation is done via email, or phone mediation,” explains Katherine Graham, Managing Director of CMP Resolutions.

Conflict resolution experts CMP Resolutions has announced a new online service that will allow mediation to take place no matter where the affected parties are.

It addresses one problem that global or multi-site organisations may have in addressing workplace disputes: how to get everyone in the same room at the same time. CMP Resolutions’ virtual conferencing mediation allows those involved to interact with each other ‘virtually’ to a model of mediation developed by CMP, in order to benefit from the same success that traditional face to face mediation offers.

“Online mediation isn’t the same as e-mediation, where mediation is done via email, or phone mediation,” explains Katherine Graham, Managing Director of CMP Resolutions. “We use our or the client’s virtual conferencing facilities so that the parties can see and hear each other, and the mediator of course, via their laptop or PC. We have been delivering this service via our highly experienced mediators and the results have been impressive.”

The service is ideal where the employees in dispute are based in different locations or are often travelling and can’t arrange to meet without racking up considerable travel costs and time for the company. It also allows CMP Resolutions the opportunity to extend its professional and proven mediation services to businesses which can’t access an experienced mediator in their location.

The mediators CMP Resolutions has deployed to this new service option have been trained in the use of virtual conferencing facilities and are able to provide all of the support that clients can expect from face to face meetings.

The new online mediation service offers the following benefits:

  •     Quicker to arrange than traditional mediation
  •     Less expensive, as employees don’t need to travel to attend
  •     Easier for employees to get straight back to work after the mediation sessions
  •     Faster feedback and evaluation from those involved: important in determining the value for money of the service, and its impact and achievement.

CMP Resolutions is the market leader in conflict resolution, workplace mediation and HR investigations and is constantly seeking new ways to deliver its services in ways that maximise results and convenience.
