Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters To Host the Party of the Season at X Lanes!

Every child deserves to experience the magic of the holiday season. On Sunday, December 8, 2013, Big Brothers Big Sisters is hosting the annual BIG Holiday Party at X Lanes (333 S. Alameda Street, 3rd Fl) in downtown Los Angeles!

The not-for-profit organization strives to help youth of all beliefs and backgrounds throughout Los Angeles County reach their fullest potential through one-to-one mentoring relationships.

Youth and families in the program are mostly at-risk and low income, and are not often exposed to the spirit and generosity of the holidays. The celebration is the perfect way for the mentees, referred to as the Littles, and their families to experience the joys of the season. It will be nothing short of the ultimate party for all those involved.

2013, is the first year to turn the holiday party into a fundraising effort by the organization to continue assisting children in our communities. We ask support from our community or from our fellow Angelinos to help us with our efforts by donating or volunteering.

“The holiday event each year is something that our children look forward to, it is a chance for everyone to enjoy each other’s company and celebrate the year the Bigs and the Littles, have spent together – and we are so excited to begin using this celebration as a chance to raise money to better our program and further our reach,” Mercedes Mantilla, Director of Partnership and Fund Development.

At X Lanes, the Littles will enjoy arcade games, bowling, billiards, karaoke and gifts from Santa and their mentors, while all of the sponsors and Bigs get to experience the joy of giving to the amazing children Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters has the pleasure of serving.

Last year’s event at the beautiful Americana at Brand was such an amazing success and we look forward to creating this year’s exciting celebration for the children involved! Enjoy a glimpse of the 2012 Holiday Party: and
