Global Media Outreach Selects Senior Development Director
Plano,TX (PRWEB) December 16, 2013 -- Global Media Outreach has hired Marcus H. Stern as senior development director.
Stern will be creating future resource development strategies and working with regional development officers in personal donor development and major gift cultivation for the ministry. It is a position he is excited to take on.
“This is an amazing opportunity with an amazing leadership team, accomplishing an amazing task,” Stern says. “The vision is that every person in the world will have the opportunity to hear the gospel by 2020. That’s a God-sized vision, it’s the next wave of evangelism as we now can harness technology like never before to bring the transformative message of Jesus Christ to people groups and nations in unprecedented measure. I want to be a part of engaging others with a kingdom heart to accomplish it.”
Global Media Outreach uses modern online and mobile advertising to find someone interested in hearing about God, share the gospel, offer an online Bible, and provide discipleship – all guided by a trained online missionary. Through its current technology platform, the ministry makes 1 million gospel presentations a day around the world.
“We’re showing the world we can spread the word of God and the salvation of Christ to massive numbers of people through the power of technology at a fraction of the cost of traditional means,” says Michelle Diedrich, chief marketing officer for Global Media Outreach. “With Marcus’s passion and experience, we are confident we will reach our 2020 goal, while showing our donors how powerful their dollars are in terms of leverage.”
Prior to joining Global Media Outreach, Stern served as president of PAX Global implementing Major Gifts Ramp-Up campaigns across the nation. Prior to that, he had a private consulting firm providing organizational development and executive coaching to for-profit and nonprofit clients. He also is the former director of student life at Southeastern University. During his time there, he served under the transformational leadership of Mark Rutland. Southeastern was one of the fastest growing universities in the nation at that time.
