New “Tricks for Trucks” List Aimed at Long Distance Movers Was Recently Released by MovingTruckRental.com
(PRWEB) July 01, 2013 -- Long distance movers are usually experienced and professional individuals who know what they are doing. But just like any other person, they are human beings and they tend to forget things. When it comes to moving a client’ goods from one state to another, however, every small mistake can cost movers a fortune.
This is why MovingTruckRental.com has recently released a new checklist which movers can use at will. The checklist is aimed at long distance movers who want to make sure that they didn’t forget any of the important things they need to do before and during transportation.
The CEO of MovingTruckRental.com, Mr Calvin Davis, recently declared regarding the checklist that, “We try to keep our customers and our movers happy, and this means we have to focus on satisfying both camps. We noticed that recently we focused heavily on clients and we thus ignored the other side of the transportation process, which is the mover, the transporter. This checklist comes as a lifebuoy for those who are always on the run: use it to make sure things are not slipping between your fingers. You, as a mover, cannot afford to make a mistake.”
The checklist is comprised of eight checkpoints transporters need to tick before they head on their journey. Mr Davis draws the attention upon the use of this checklist, saying that it can be used both by professional transporters as by one-time movers. Anyone who is moving something can, in the opinion of Mr Davis, use this checklist as guidance.
“Whether you are an experienced transporter or you have decided to move your goods without the help of a company, this checklist it for you," he says. The eight checkpoints that are included in the file are:
1. Make sure everything is stored properly one day prior to the transportation.
2. Frequent mirror check
3. Stick to the right lane
4. Turn wide
5. Check for papers
6. Take breaks
7. Start with a full tank and an empty bladder
8. Check the condition of the tires before heading on the road
Each of these points is presented in detail on the checklist so that the driver (or the transporter) knows exactly what each of the points covers. One of the most important things to do before starting out is to check for papers. By doing this, long distance movers make sure they have everything prepared in case of police stop or in case of client misunderstanding.
