PhishLabs, the leading provider of cybercrime protection and intelligence services that fight back against online threats, announces the appointment of cyber security services veteran Jon Hilfiger as Vice President of Sales. In this role, Mr. Hilfiger is responsible for expanding sales growth and leading the global PhishLabs sales team.
Mr. Hilfiger began his career at SecureWorks, where he spent 13 years in various roles that contributed to the company’s rapid growth and successful acquisition by Dell. Prior to joining PhishLabs, Mr. Hilfiger was the Director of Western US and Canada Sales at Dell SecureWorks. He was responsible for driving sales growth in Fortune 1000 accounts, including a large number of financial institutions.
“We are very excited for Jon to join the team. Our business grew 82% last year and he is a perfect fit as we continue to accelerate sales growth,” said John LaCour, PhishLabs Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “Jon’s sales leadership experience from startup to major market success is a great asset for PhishLabs.”
Cyber-attacks such as distributed denial-of-service (DDoS), phishing and malware, have long been used by cybercriminals to profit at the expense of businesses and their customers. PhishLabs stops these attacks and prevents future threats by disabling the ecosystem (i.e. compromised hosts, tools and services) that cybercriminals rely on to plan, stage, launch and monetize attacks.
“It’s great to bring my experience to a team that fights back against external cyber threats,” said Mr. Hilfiger. “Not only do we stop attacks that are happening, we also make it painful for the cybercriminals that target our clients. It’s a compelling, unique approach that prevents future online attacks.”
