Crowdfunding Expert Kendall Almerico Discusses Crowdfunding Of Actor Max Martini's Movie
(PRWEB) July 11, 2013 -- Crowdfunding expert Kendall Almerico, CEO of crowd funding website ClickStartMe, commented on a news story about actor Max Martini's new movie "Will Gardner," which tells the tale of a disabled army veteran, and how the motion picture is going to be crowdfunded.
"The public does not hear enough about the struggles of military veterans," commented crowd funding expert Almerico. "It's great that crowdfunding can help Martini tell that story, and also provide economic assistance to those in need. This is what crowd funding was created to do."
Martini, who is slated to star in the upcoming Hollywood film Pacific Rim, says that he will donate half of the money raised by the film to veterans' charities. Martini chose crowdfunding because he says that donating some of the profits to charity will make it difficult to fund the film using traditional methods.
"This is a perfect example of crowdfunding's resourcefulness," said crowd-funding guru Almerico, "Large investors aren't very interested in projects like 'Will Gardner' because the potential return on their investment after the donation won't be as large as it would be with a traditional film. With crowd funding, Max Martini will be able to find the money he needs to make this movie, and will also be able to fulfill his promise of donating some of the profits to disabled veterans' charities."
Almerico went on to say, "One can crowdfund almost any project imaginable - that's the beauty of this industry. Martini's project is particularly great because it will raise awareness for disabled veterans, and the film will provide for them monetarily. If it weren't for crowdfunding websites like ClickStartMe.com, none of this would be possible."
