Richard Fort, PhD, joins CereScan as President and COO with 30+ years of expertise in various executive roles focusing on leadership and total quality management. Dr. Fort will oversee sales, marketing, and operational management to increase patient satisfaction and corporate growth initiatives.

Prior to joining CereScan, Dr. Fort was most recently the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Educational Sales Management (ESM), a higher education enrollment and student life cycle solutions company. As the CEO of ESM he grew the business over 16 years to $50M in revenue and 800 employees. ESM was acquired by Xerox Corporation in July, 2011. Dr. Fort began his career in the space shuttle program at Kennedy Space Center where he worked in Human Resources Development. After continuing his career in human resources in the telecommunications industry, he moved into the world of education when he became a Sylvan Learning Center franchisee. ESM was formed in 1995, which was then a customer contact center serving only a handful of Sylvan Learning Centers in Colorado, and quickly grew into the premiere enrollment center for Sylvan franchisees across the nation. During his tenure at ESM, he was responsible for strategic direction, maintaining and developing a positive workplace culture, and establishing a strong and capable leadership team.

Dr. Fort’s experience as an accomplished business leader and marketing executive provides insightful strategic oversight and market development into patient centered diagnostic care. He will be instrumental in the further maturation of the company’s long-term growth strategy and operational effectiveness. Dr. Fort earned a B.A. in psychology from Louisiana State University, an M.S. in experimental psychology from Northeast Louisiana University, and a Ph.D. in organizational psychology at Walden University.
