Associations to Learn How to Extend the Value of Their Events
Bethesda, MD (PRWEB) July 24, 2013 -- Exhibition organizers will learn how to transform their event into a year-long experience at the 2013 IAEE Midyear Meeting in Atlanta on August 6th at 2:00 p.m.
The session, titled “Creating the 365 Day Conference and Exhibition,” will give attendees knowledge about how to tie an association’s or show organizer’s overall goals to specific tactics that transition an event into a year-round experience and the overall benefits of this model.
The presenters include Barbara A. Myers, CAE, vice president of professional development of Tampa-based pharmaceutical society, ISPE; B.J. Enright, president of Atlanta-based event management firm, Tradeshow Logic; Kevin Miller, president of integrated marketing communication firm, Frost Miller Group; and Julianne Rill, associate director of continuing education at ISPE.
Kevin Miller, president of FMG, said, “This is a top-of-mind issue for show organizers. We want to help them understand the basic strategies and give them practical tactics for building a year-round experience for attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors.”
The session attendees will also play a role in shaping the outcome of the session by providing ideas for extending the life of one of ISPE’s events. This same session will be presented again at IAEE’s Annual Meeting in December, but will be updated based on the results of the plan developed by attendees and the presenters for ISPE’s event.
“This presentation format is a great way to demonstrate ways to carry the value of an event past a day or two. We’re looking forward to having this collaborative experience with other industry professionals,” Miller added.
The 2013 IAEE Midyear Meeting, August 5-7 in Atlanta, is co-locating with the ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition, August 3-6, where Miller, Myers, and Enright are also presenting “10 Tactics for Successful Exhibitor Retention” on August 5th.
