Hopeafterdivorce.org Announces Single Again! Now What? Mentoring Programs
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- The National Association of Divorce for Women and Children, DivorcedandScaredNoMore.com and HopeAfterDivorce.org have joined forces to alleviate negative effects of divorce on children, families, and society.
Statistics paint a grim picture of the effects of divorce upon children. Children whose parents have divorced are twice as likely to drop out of school, three times more likely to have a baby out of wedlock, five times more likely to be in poverty, and twelve times more likely to be incarcerated as children with parents who are married (McManus, Ethics & Religion, Sept. 12, 2004, 203).
With these statistics in mind, the National Association of Divorce for Women and Children has created the Single Again! Now What? Mentoring Programs, a systematic, step-by-step program for helping women and men gain valuable life skills. This program has developed over time during the past ten years and has helped hundreds of people nationwide to gain the necessary tools to navigate the pitfalls of divorce and co-parenting.
Joanie Winberg, CEO of the National Association of Divorce for Women/Children and creator of the programs, describes how the program provides the tools to help expedite the healing process after divorce. The tools include coping, communication, and anger management skills; how to discover strengths that may have gone untapped; how to rediscover a true identity; and how to discover purpose, define dreams, and set measurable life goals.
Feedback from the mentoring program has been overwhelmingly positive. One participant stated, "The Single Again! Now What? mentoring program gave me the tools to believe in myself and focus on my gifts and recognize my passions. The powerful combination of the Single Again! Now What? mentoring program and Joanie's commitment to see me succeed has started me on the path of entrepreneurship and has inspired me to pursue my goals." Another participant concurred, "Joanie is amazing in valuing, empathizing, deeply listening, and turning thoughts around so as her coachee sees the world in a totally new perspective and under a different prism."
