We have found that often Trust Committee and Trust Board members are brought into their role without a clear understanding of their responsibilities and liabilities.

As the Wealth Management industry grows, Cannon Financial Institute continues to position itsself at the forefront of Fiduciary education and knowledge. With the release of a new two day workshop designed to educate the underserved market of Trust Committee and Board members, Cannon extends its footprint beyond just the Wealth Managment professional.

Duane E. Lee, II, Executive Vice President and Compliance Risk Curriculum Chair states, “We have found that often Trust Committee and Trust Board members are brought into their role without a clear understanding of their responsibilities and liabilities. As we work with Fiduciary Compliance and Chief Risk Officers to educate their staff on areas of exposure, we frequently advise a stronger lens into oversight and administration. This is an area directly linked to Board supervision.” Through this focus, Cannon hopes to encourage better compliance and attention to detail for Trust Departments and ultimately the Affluent Client Experience.

“Cannon is deeply passionate about providing financial programs that make a positive impact. For us, it is about client centric programs that further the improvement of not only the financial professional but ultimately their clients’ experience. When our clients expressed concern for the quality education afforded their Fiduciary Board members, we immediately answered the call. We are excited to bring this program to market and look forward to its future success.”
Shane O’Neill, President, Cannon Financial Institute.

The Fiduciary Training for Board Members workshop will be offered geographically with the first program being held in Chicago, IL August 26-27, 2013. Participants can expect to gain knowledge in areas of Account Review, Pricing, Regulatory Code, Reporting, and Conflicts of Interest as example.
