The Rainmaker Group, a world leader in automated forecasting and profit optimization software and services for the Gaming & Hospitality industry, today announced that Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs has implemented its market-leading GuestREV® profit optimization system as a key technology element of its major expansion project at the Wilkes-Barre, PA, property, one of the largest and most distinctive entertainment, gaming, shopping and dining destinations in the Commonwealth.

Tabbed Project Sunlight, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs’ multi-million dollar initiative will add a new seven-story, 238-room hotel, an adjacent 20,000 square-foot Convention Center, a 4,000 square-foot Spa & Salon, and roughly 270 permanent positions that cut across the spectrum of hotel management and operations. A grand opening is slated for the fall, though no official date has been set at this time.

This unique approach has helped boost gaming and non-gaming revenues from 5 percent to 15 percent at numerous casino hotels since its debut in 2001.
