There were a number of surprises in our report which can help guide consumers as they shop for their favorite NFL gear this season.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 06, 2013
BluePromoCode.com, a leading marketplace for coupons and deals, today announced the results of a recently commissioned study correlating consumer shopping trends in the upcoming 2013-2014 NFL season.
Based on a survey of 125 U.S.-based NFL Fans and consumers with a core sports demographic, findings concluded the following:
- Peyton Manning is the most desirable jersey
- Among Rookies, Monte Ball is the most desirable jersey
- The study reveals the most embarrassing QB Jersey and Team apparel to wear in public
- Among current NFL QBs, Mark Sanchez’s jersey is expected to get the lowest resale price
Other results included Tony Romo ranking an unexpected third for most desirable QB jerseys despite the Dallas Cowboys missing the playoffs the last 4 years in a row. The study also shows there were major differences between fans and non-fans in their attitude for players and merchandise. Non-fans still had a negative affinity toward Michael Vic, where nearly 20% selected his jersey as ‘most embarrassing’ to wear in public despite an aversion to selecting individual players in other questions. Overall, the study provides some consumer insights that may help in their shopping decisions for this NFL season.
“There were a number of surprises in our report which can help guide consumers as they start shopping for their favorite NFL gear,” said Mike Schrobo, Director of Online Marketing for BluePromoCode.
In addition to this study, BluePromoCode has recently expanded their NFL coverage with a new, dedicated NFL section on their site and new coupon partners such as the official NFL Shop and CBS Sports. Questions were randomized and related to their specific player interests and price thresholds for NFL products for the 2013-2014 NFL season. Participants were provided gift cards and other non-cash incentives for their participation.
