Website Design Company LinkNow Media Begins Holiday Charity Fundraising in August

Established in 2009, they have quickly grown to over 5000 active client’s and many design options as well as marketing strategies. They are a small family owned company and are actively involved in their community through sponsoring local athletes, sports teams and holding fundraising drives. This year, the company started their annual Christmas fundraising for local association the Batshaw Youth and Family Foundation early with an ice cream cake auction.
The Batshaw Youth and Family Centres Foundation support and complement the work of Batshaw Youth and Family Centres. Batshaw Centres intervenes with children and families in situations of abuse, neglect, abandonment, and when youth have serious behaviour problems. Services are provided in the child’s own family, in foster homes or adoptive homes, or in residential treatment programs.
In December 2012, LinkNow Media’ s 50 staff members provided Christmas gifts for over 120 children who otherwise may not have received anything. Every employee was able to make a connection with a child they will never meet and get to be a part in making that child’s Christmas a little bit more exciting. This year, they are getting started a little earlier with an ice cream cake auction; “If we could help 120 kids out when we started in November, imagine what we can do if we start in August” said president and founder Wesley Mendelovitch. The cake auction, organized by Office Manager Leann Brown who also baked the ice cream cakes from scratch raised over $210.00 for the Bathsaw Foundation. Three cakes were sold, with a Smores cake bringing in $100 on its own.
Now, the LinkNow Media team is already looking forward to their Christmas shopping for the children. “It feels great to be involved in helping the kids who otherwise might be forgotten,” says Ms.Brown; “We certainly plan on continuing to work with the Batshaw Foundation and hopefully expanding our donations in the years to come.” As LinkNow Media continues to grow and expand their company, so do their efforts to give back to the community.
