Menlo College may be small, but that size is part of what is helping forge its reputation as 'a great business school that focuses a lot on individual attention.'

Menlo College is one of the best colleges in the West for the fifth straight year according to the nationally known education services company, The Princeton Review. It is one of 124 institutions The Princeton Review recommends in its "Best in the West" section of its website feature, "2014 Best Colleges: Region by Region," posted August 5, 2013.

"Earning yet another "Best in the West" listing from The Princeton Review speaks to the quality of our faculty, staff, students, and overall student life experience," said President James J. Kelly. "Students that want internships, strong academics, business majors, great athletics, clubs, and leadership opportunities in a Silicon Valley setting will find our college to be an excellent fit."

In the profile for Menlo College on its site, The Princeton Review writes, along with quotes from students, "Those interested in Menlo will find a school that “provides a top-notch education and unmatched college experience through their dedication to student needs.” Students praise the professors here for being “approachable and more than willing to help you outside of class time,” teachers who are “able to give individual attention to students and do so with pleasure.”

Says Robert Franek, The Princeton Review's Senior VP / Publisher, "We're pleased to recommend these colleges to users of our site as the best schools to earn their undergrad degrees. We chose these as our 'regional best' colleges mainly for their excellent academic programs. From several hundred schools in each region, we winnowed our list based on institutional data we collected directly from the schools, our visits to schools over the years, and the opinions of our staff, plus college counselors and advisors whose recommendations we invite. We also take into account what students at the schools reported to us. Only schools that permit us to independently survey their students are eligible to be considered for our regional 'best' lists."
