“Unfortunately, many taxpayers view tax cheating as the sport of kings,” says Wolfe.

International Tax Attorney, Gary S. Wolfe, has published two articles in the Summer 2013 Edition of the Practical Tax Lawyer (ABA/ALI-CLE):

1) International Tax Evasion and Money Laundering

2) International Tax Planning for U.S. Exports (IC-DISC) co-author: Ryan Losi, CPA, PIASCIK.

The articles may be downloaded from the Articles page on Wolfe’s website, gswlaw.com.

In addition, on 7/30/13, Wolfe published his first eBook on the IRS, "Offshore Tax Evasion: IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program." The eBook is currently available for purchase on Amazon.

Since 2008, U.S. prosecutors have charged at least 86 people in their crackdown on offshore tax evasion including: two dozen bankers, lawyers and advisors. An additional 39,000 Americans have sought to avoid prosecution by entering into the IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program.

In his recently published eBook, Wolfe examines the intricacies of the IRS program including issues of civil tax fraud, criminal tax evasion, expensive penalties, and waiver of 5th amendment rights against self-incrimination without immunity from prosecution.

“Unfortunately, many taxpayers view tax cheating as the sport of kings,” says Wolfe. “The question they must ask themselves is: Are they willing to pay the price if they get caught? If not, as Bob Dylan once said: If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.”
