...reduced lead times for valve repair.
(PRWEB) August 22, 2013
To keep up with the growing demand for their products, Total Valve Systems has given their shop a complete makeover. The latest changes in the TVS repair shop allow Total Valve to serve your company in the quickest and most efficient way. These upgrades were made possible following a Lean Event that was held in conjunction with Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance, Tulsa Technology Center, and CI Solutions. Through this process Total Valve was able to identify the areas in which they could eliminate waste and improve efficiency. Following this event and evaluation, Total Valve was able to rearrange its facility to optimize productivity. Alongside these facility changes, Total Valve is in the process of becoming ISO Certified and expects to be officially certified by 2014.
Curtis Evans from the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance on the changes made at Total Valve:
“I have been acquainted with Total Valve for 10 years and first met Mike and his team when he purchased the company 5 years ago. The transformation is amazing. He has taken Total Valve to the next level. The company has improved productivity, lead times, and on-time-deliveries significantly, while simultaneously increasing market share and entering new markets. They have expanded their product line including Weir Triple Offset Valves and revolutionary new products designed in house by Total Valve engineers such as the 6820 Total Relief Valve. Total Valve has emerged as a world leader in their field via their representatives all over the world, including their newest addition in Nigeria.”
Chad Smith and Richard Maclin from CI Solutions on the changes made at Total Valve:
“Total Valve completed a Value Stream Mapping event in early 2013. In this event the team developed a new layout for the shop floor that maximizes the flow of product through the shop, increased throughput, and reduced lead times for valve repair. Total Valve has embarked on a Continuous Improvement Journey and they are already seeing the benefits of CI.”
