Smile Generation®-Trusted Clinicians Utilize Mobile Dental Clinic to Help Provide More Than $29,000 in Donated Dentistry to Phoenix Area Community Members in Need
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) August 22, 2013 -- On Saturday, August 17, Smile Generation-trusted clinicians, along with their dental care teams, volunteered their time to provide donated dentistry to Phoenix area community members in need.
Partnering with the Southwest Division of The Salvation Army, The Smile Generation-trusted clinicians and dental care teams set up an onsite dental clinic and, in a matter of hours, treated 51 patients, providing more than $29,000 in donated dental services. Treatments included exams, x-rays and cleanings. The PDS® Serve Foundation mobile dental clinic was onsite to help the clinicians provide quality care and serve Phoenix area residents.
“We are so grateful to the dentists and their teams who volunteered their time to help out community members in need of dental care,” said Lieutenant Colonel Joe Posillico of The Salvation Army. “The Salvation Army relies on donors to provide services like this day of donated dentistry -- it makes such a big impact in the residents’ lives.”
“The people we encountered through this event are truly unforgettable,” said Dr. Eric Ellis, pediatric specialist, Every Kid’s Dentist. “To have the opportunity to serve Phoenix area community members that do not have access to dental care was very rewarding to Dr. Fairchild, Dr. Clayton and me.”
Joining Dr. Ellis to provide dentistry to those in need were Dr. Carl Collin Fairchild and Dr. Tyler Clayton, of Crossroads Dental Group and Orthodontics in Chandler, AZ.
