SLATE Wine Bar + Bistro, Celebrates One-Year Anniversary with Special Menu and New Website

Beginning on Monday, August 26, 2013 through Sunday, September 8, 2013 SLATE will offer its three course prix fixe menu. Signature menu items such as the Blistered Shishito Peppers with smoked olive oil and sea salt and the Crispy Local Farm Pork with greens, heirloom tomatoes and lemon will be available on the special anniversary menu as well as new specials for the next two weeks. Suggested wines for pairing are included on the menu to make choosing easy and to enhance each course.
“It’s been a full year since we opened the doors of SLATE and I’m pleased at the response from the Glover Park and Georgetown residents that regularly come to have a good time and especially thrilled by the residents who come to dine with us from around the metro area and the tourists who seek us out,” says Elizabeth Banker, owner and wine director of SLATE Wine Bar + Bistro. “Our goal when opening SLATE was to have a wine bar and restaurant that you can experience and have fun whether you are by yourself or with friends in a welcoming and non-pretentious environment and our guests have told us we do exactly that and more.”
