Advertising Week is the world’s premier annual gathering of marketing and communications leaders, with more than 200 distinct events throughout the week.

PlaceWise chairman and CEO Mort Aaronson will be a featured speaker and panel moderator for “Waste-Free Advertising℠ – FINALLY!” on Monday, September 23 at 10:30 a.m. in the Times Center Hall. He will discuss how the next evolution in media, combining location technology and consumer empowerment, makes it an imperative for marketers to move away from the one-to-many model of high reach and impressions and towards making a one-to-one connection only with those consumers most ready and willing to receive their messages on their path to purchase. Waste-free advertising stops the erosion of consumer trust that comes with Big Data taking advantage of the new technologies to force messages to a broad base of consumers who are annoyed at being spammed, retargeted and followed online with unwanted content.

Joining Aaronson on stage for a lively discussion of what Waste-Free Advertising means to businesses and consumers will be John Baker, president, dotJWT; Jason Dailey, senior manager-Bing Evangelism, Microsoft Advertising and Wayne Gattinella, CEO and director, DoubleVerify.
