Uniform Advantage Donates $1 per Scrub Top to Childhood Cancer
Plantation, FL (PRWEB) September 11, 2013 -- Uniform Advantage announced today that they are donating $1 for every "Go Grey" print scrub top and scrub jacket they sell to the American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO) as part of their ongoing efforts to support Childhood Cancer awareness.
The ACCO was founded in 1970 by a collective of parents whose children had been diagnosed with cancer. "As a family run organization ourselves, a partnership with ACCO completely aligns with our company’s beliefs and values about supporting even the littlest members within the medical community," said Lori Dunlap, VP of Marketing for Uniform Advantage.
The grey ribbon featured on the "Go Grey" print scrub top and scrub jacket represents brain cancer awareness. Cancers of the brain and central nervous system, along with leukemia, account for more than half of the newly diagnosed cases of childhood cancer. "These ribbons paired with the youthful handprints made these print scrub tops a perfect fit to symbolize our support of ACCO," said Lori.
Uniform Advantage guarantees a donation of more than $2,000 from the sale of the tops and jackets to go to ACCO. The partnership will also be publicized on the UA Gives Back section of the Uniform Advantage website http://www.uniformadvantage.com/a-day-in-scrubs/ua-gives-back/ , print catalog, and their Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/UAScrubs with the goal of generating additional customer support and awareness for this charitable organization. Proceeds from donations to ACCO directly address the needs of affected families by increasing advocacy, awareness, and research about the disease.
