Motif Investing, the company that pioneered low-cost, ideas-based investing, announced today that it won “Best of Show” at FinovateFall, an exclusive event that showcases cutting-edge financial technology, for its build-your-own motif product and monetization.

This new product lets individuals build customized motifs--collections of up to 30 stocks based on a theme, such as rising interest rates, shale oil or couch commerce. Individuals can then publish their own unique motifs on the Motif website and get paid anytime another customer buys or rebalances their built motif. To date, over 15,000 new motifs have been built or customized since the "build your own motif" feature was rolled out.

“We are honored that the Finovate attendees chose to acknowledge our Motif demo from a field of 70 innovative companies,” said Hardeep Walia, CEO and founder of Motif Investing. "We generated incredible excitement about this cutting-edge product which is currently in beta until its public release on October 1.”

"We would like to congratulate Motif on winning a Best of Show Award at FinovateFall 2013. Clearly their innovative solution to investing struck a nerve with the audience,” said Eric Mattson, CEO of Finovate.
