Four Associated Risk Managers (ARM) Members Are Among Newly Elected Louisiana Big I Board

Itasca, IL (PRWEB) September 16, 2013 -- ARM members serving on the board for the 2013-2014 term include R. Parke Ellis, who will serve as President of the board. Ellis is chairman of Gillis, Ellis & Baker, Inc. in New Orleans. David Dethloff, another ARM member, will serve as the La. Big I Secretary/Treasurer. Dethloff is owner of Dethloff & Associates, Inc. in Shreveport.

Also serving on the board are James Fontenot, who represents Dwight Andrus Insurance, Inc. through his Rayne, La.-based Fontenot Insurance Agency; and Brenda Case, current ARM Chairman and President of Lowry-Dunham, Case & Vivien, an insurance agency located in Slidell.

“The election of four ARM members to the Big I Louisiana board is a continuation of our commitment to the insurance industry and to the state of Louisiana,” says Case. “ARM members in Louisiana share a long history of involvement with the Louisiana Big I, which includes some of our parents having served on the board. We’re proud to be continuing that tradition.”

Case says the relationship between ARM and the Big I works well because of the shared commitment to give back to the industry, to further legislative goals, to provide continuing education, and to support agents. “ARM is a decades-old organization dedicated to these same goals and values, and we value the relationships above all else. To be able to bring those same networking and relationship-building strategies with us into the Big I is a large part of why we enjoy working with the organization.
