Sidebar 122 Restaurant to Open New Jazz Venue in Columbus, Ohio
Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) September 19, 2013 -- After a year long hiatus, the lower level music studio of the Sidebar 122 Restaurant is being given new life. Under the management and watchful eye of Jazz vocalist Kate Ross, who is no stranger to the local music scene, Jazz on Main will once again open its doors with a new name and the sounds of the area's best music and musicians. "Starting up Jazz on Main is the achievement of a dream for me," says Ross. "I've seen it change hands many times - who would have thought this time it would come to me? It is a magical place with incredible ambience and I am excited about filling it with the best Jazz acts we can find and especially about showcasing the awesome talent Columbus has to offer." Ms. Ross is working with publicist Dee Riley to transform the venue into a premier home for Jazz in Columbus. The pair also has plans to bring regional acts to the venue as well as pursuing the possibility of having guest musicians from the national music scene.
Jazz on Main is located on the lower level of the Sidebar 122 Restaurant located at 122 East Main Street Columbus, Ohio. The restaurant is known for its 4 star cuisine, variety of eclectic drinks and extensive wine list. The Sidebar 122 has developed into a favorite dining experience for people in and around Central Ohio and beyond.
Jazz on Main is set to open to the public October 4, 2013 and the opening weekend lineup will include the Vernon Hairston Trio with guest vocalist Tia Harris Roseboro on Friday, October 4th and the Caribbean Jazz Quartet on Saturday, October 5th. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. with a $10 cover charge for entry.
