Seattle, WA (PRWEB) September 20, 2013
MVDC (Military and Veterans Discount Center), the largest aggregator of military and veterans discounts with over 330,000 locations, recently conducted a poll of a thousand of its members and found that two-thirds of them (67%) have been denied a military discount in the last year. 97% of MVDC members indicated that they would patronize a business more if they had military discounts. "Universally, military personnel and veterans do not feel entitled to military discounts and show deep gratitude toward businesses that provide them. However, there is an awkward feeling among veterans and military personnel about asking for discounts," said Terrence Thomas, founder of the Military and Veterans Discount Center.
MVDC Launches Military Discount Mobile App
In an effort to reduce the anxiety about asking for military discounts and to give businesses a no cost platform to promote their military and veteran discounts, MVDC recently launched a downloadable mobile application that is free to use for military personnel and veterans. "We've tested the app with a small set of users, and they have found it very convenient to check prior to visiting or while they are in a store if a business has a discount," added Thomas.
Users interested in downloading the application can find the MVDC Mobile Application on the MVDC website at http://www.mvdc.net/page/checkout-mvdc-mobile.html, in the Android Store or in the Apple Store under MVDC.
A Call For Businesses To Add Their Discounts
MVDC has an easy to use add a discount feature where businesses can add their discount to the mobile application and to the MVDC website online. To add their discounts, businesses simply need to go to MVDC website and click on the add a discount link (http://www.mvdc.net/add-a-discount) at the top of the page. "MVDC has 335,000 locations with military and veteran discounts, but we know there are much more. Our goal is to have a million or more locations and have the applications be a useful tool for those that have served our country."
