Robin Thicke Tickets in New York, Atlanta, Camden, Fairfax, Atlantic City, Boston, Detroit, St. Louis, Austin, Denver, Seattle, Vancouver & San Francisco Go On Sale 9/20
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 20, 2013 -- Cheap Concert Tickets announces that Pop-Soul and R&B artist Robin Thicke will be touring early in 2014 to promote his new album, "Blurred Lines." The tour will kick off on February 21, 2014 in Atlanta. There will be 15 stops, including shows in Atlantic City, Washington, DC, Boston, New York City, Detroit, St. Louis, Austin, TX, Denver, Seattle and Vancouver before closing out at San Francisco.
His "Blurred Lines" album was one of the most successful albums during the summer, debuting at the top spot of the Billboard 200 album chart. In a recent interview, the singer mentioned that the title refers to the changing perceptions as a person matures. It may also be a hint at changing musical directions. He has mentioned that he and his wife would like to have more fun. Alluding to musical greats like Bob Marley and John Lennon, Thicke has said that his approach to songs has been very serious and with the latest album he has tried to be more lighthearted. The lead single, also titled "Blurred Lines," spent 12 weeks at the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100. It has also topped the charts in 13 other countries. It has surpassed the one million copies mark in the United Kingdom.
In the tour, Thicke will be joined by Jessie J and DJ Cassidy and tickets will go on sale beginning on Friday, September 20. Part of the proceeds will go to selected charities. Thicke has toured before with Beyonce and Alicia Keys. He has also co-headlined shows with Jennifer Hudson and he spent three weeks on tour while promoting his 2011 album Love After War.
The son of actor Alan Thicke and actress Gloria Loring, the 36-year-old Robin, started his music career as Thicke. Before achieving commercial success as a singer-songwriter, he wrote songs for Brandy and 3T. He also worked with Jordan Knight, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and co-wrote songs for Christina Aguilera, Mya, and for Michael Jackson. His first album, A Beautiful World had some limited success but was able to generate a good following. Some of the songs were picked up in soundtracks and by American Idol contestants, as well as in TV shows.
Thicke’s second album was the turning point of his career. "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" sold more than 1.5 million copies and prompted a Deluxe Edition re-release. His succeeding albums "Something Else," "Sex Therapy," "Love After War" and "Duets," further solidified his status as an R&B, Hip-Hop artist.
