The Standing Ovation Tour Sommore to Sizzle Along With Bill Bellamy, Tony Rock, Tommy Davidson and Mark Curry National Comedy Tour Kicking Off January 2014

Starring the top female comedian in the business today, the tour will also feature talent from such standout comedians as Bill Bellamy, Tony Rock, Tommy Davidson and Mark Curry. Kicking off January 17 in Jacksonville, Florida, the evening will bring together some of comedy’s finest comedians, and is guaranteed to bring audiences to their feet. In a profession previously dominated mostly by men, Sommore’s success in the field can be justly attributed to her unique talent. With a winning combination of class and sass, Sommore offers audiences a hilarious, yet piercing look at today's issues from a woman’s perspective. She is frank and fearless in her routines, tackling topics that range from the mundane to the controversial with wit, intelligence and style. Sommore became the knockout star of “The Queens of Comedy” tour in 2000, and was the only female comedian invited on the “Latham Entertainment Presents Tour” in 2002. Fresh off the success of her last tour and special Chandelier Status, Sommore has been tapped as the 2014 host of BET’s ComicView.
Joining Sommore on the tour is multi-hyphenated talent Bill Bellamy. In addition to being one of MTV’s most successful VJ’s in the network’s history, Bill is known from his various movie roles including Love Jones, How to Be a Player, Love Stinks and Any Given Sunday. His TV roles are numerous including hosting four seasons of the TV One comedy competition show Who’s Got Jokes? and two seasons of NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
Bellamy is currently starring in the syndicated television comedy from producer Byron Allen, Mr. Box Office. Returning this year to his first love of stand-up comedy, Bellamy joins this 2014 tour, following the success of his third Showtime comedy special, Ladies Night Out.
Tony Rock the host of the newly revamped legendary talent competition Apollo Live, airing its second season, this 2014, a cameo in the number one box office film Think Like a Man, TV appearances on BET’s Let’s Stay Together and Vh-1’s Single Ladies, and starring in a straight to DVD film C’mon Man. Rock has also co-hosted the BET Awards red-carpet for the second year in a row and has a vast of other projects in the pipeline. This comedian continues to exceed all expectations, causing laughter everywhere he goes.
Tommy Davidson’s versatile range has earned him a reputation as an extraordinary performer. Davidson is best known as one of the stars of the hit television show In Living Color, which made him a household name. Most recently, Tommy has been working on the just-renewed second season of hit series, Black Dynamite, Adult Swim’s #1 top-rated show and his film project Deconstructing Sammy based on the legendary Sammy Davis Jr.
Mark Curry is a veteran comedian/actor known for his energetic stand up routines and his ability to master the stage like a true veteran. Curry is best known for his long running ABC series Hanging with Mr. Cooper, and can currently be seen starring opposite Scott Baio in the Nick At Nite sitcom See Dad Run.
