Century Die Company Releases Mold Maintenance Video Series To Help Blow Molders Manage Costs and Improve Performance
Fremont, Ohio (PRWEB) January 23, 2014 -- Blow mold manufacturing professionals often struggle with mold maintenance. Establishing and following well-vetted procedures necessary to maintain and prolong the life of their molds is often lost or diluted as maintenance responsibility moves from one professional to another. Often good (and some bad) maintenance procedures are passed on by word of mouth training or dated documentation that is not optimum.
Century Die Mold Maintenance Series has been released to offer the first, easy to follow and access, instructional video series for maintaining plastic blow molds. This series is another first offering of its kind released by Century Die Company of Fremont, Ohio. The series is available for free to current customers as well as “future” customers. These videos can be accessed from any Internet connection 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Tim Myers, General Manager explained: “We have long been asked by our customers for tips on proper mold care. Century has been designing, building, and refurbishing blow molds for nearly 70 years. We developed these videos to share the experience we have gained over the last seven decades in an effort to help our customers establish the best procedures and practices in their own facilities. This often saves downtime and money by doing some repair at the facility instead of shipping the tool to us.”
Mr. Myers went on to say, “We want our customers to get the longest life possible out of their tools, and to do that we believe it is helpful to share our maintenance expertise. These videos show step by step maintenance procedures that well accrue benefits to longer mold life.”
The Mold Maintenance series has a current offering of three independent instructional videos.
• Replacing Pins and Bushings
• Replacing Welch Plugs and ‘O’ Rings
• Sandblasting a Cavity
The Century Die Mold Maintenance video series can be accessed by sending a request to videos(at)centurydie(dot)com. The Century Die email system will automatically respond to each request with a link and password information.
