Website Company LinkNow Media Continues Holiday Toy Drive Tradition

Established in 2009, they have quickly grown to over 5000 active clients. Offering many different design options and online marketing strategies, their success has been found by providing affordability and quality services to their clients. They are a small family owned company and are actively involved in their community through sponsoring local athletes, sports teams and holding fundraising drives. This year, the company started their annual Christmas fundraising for local association the Batshaw Youth and Family Foundation early with an ice cream cake auction in August 2013 and a Talent Show in November 2013 which raised over $3800 dollars benefiting the Batshaw Foundation.
The Batshaw Youth and Family Centres Foundation support and complement the work of the Batshaw Youth and Family Centres. Batshaw Centres intervenes with children and families in situations of abuse, neglect, and abandonment or when youth have serious behaviour problems. Services are provided in the child’s own family, in foster homes or adoptive homes, or in residential treatment programs.
For the second year in a row, LinkNow Media’s fundraising culminated in December with a toy drive that provided over 290 children with presents to open on Christmas morning. Each member of the LinkNow Media staff was given one or more children to personally buy a present for based on what the child had requested. All of the proceeds from the Talent Show fundraiser also went towards buying gifts for the children. Owner Wesley Mendelovitch originally expressed that he would like to give back to the community in early 2012 and inspired all of his staff to go above and beyond the call of duty to help children who may otherwise be forgotten on Christmas morning. Some employee’s purchased gifts for multiple children and said they had fun shopping for the kid’s presents; “I wanted to get something for her that would make her feel special and ensure she felt loved at Christmas. I imagined her excitement upon getting exactly what she wanted and it made me feel like we achieved something great this holiday season,” said LinkNow Media manager Leann Brown.
The impact was certainly felt outside of the office as friends and family of LinkNow Media employees got involved to buy gifts as well. Customer Care manager Eve Mendelovitch said this generosity and caring spirit is what makes the company so special; “We are more than just a company – we are a family and a community and we have a responsibility to help those around us. I couldn’t be more proud of our staff.” The holiday also continues throughout the year for LinkNow Media as the company plans more fundraisers and continues to support local athletes such as Yves Jabouin. The company is sponsoring the mixed martial artists’ next UFC fight on January 25th, 2014. “This is only the beginning,” said Mrs. Mendelovitch.
