Reading Eggs launches the Read-To-Cure Challenge to raise over $25,000 for The National Children’s Cancer Society
St.Louis, Missouri (PRWEB) February 03, 2014 -- Reading Eggs has launched its Read-To-Cure Challenge – a nationwide reading event that aims to inspire children to read while raising funds for The National Children’s Cancer Society.
Taking place from February 3 to March 7, 2014, the Read-To-Cure Challenge is expected to see over 10,000 children participating across the United States. The event aims to raise over $25,000 for the NCCS, with Reading Eggs matching every donation made up to this amount.
Reading Eggs CEO, Matthew Sandblom, believes the Read-To-Cure Challenge is a great way to make reading an enjoyable experience for children while supporting an important cause.
“Reading Eggs is proud to support The National Children’s Cancer Society and the great work they do helping families who are battling childhood cancer. We hope the Read-To-Cure Challenge will not only raise crucial funds for The National Children’s Cancer Society, but also encourage thousands of children across the United States to read and improve their literacy skills,” says Mr Sandblom.
The Read-To-Cure Challenge encourages children to complete as many books and Reading Eggs lessons as they can. Friends and family can sponsor a child for their reading efforts, with all donations going to The National Children’s Cancer Society.
All money raised by the Read-To-Cure Challenge will help The National Children’s Cancer Society provide financial, emotional, and educational assistance to families across the United States who are battling childhood cancer. Since their inception, the NCCS has provided more than $57 million in direct financial assistance to more than 33,000 children nationwide.
