Bruno Mars, whose professional music career started in 2004, did not rise to fame instantly. From 2004 to 2009, Bruno wrote and produced songs for artists such as Sean Kingston, Flo Rida, Adam Levine, Alexandra Burke, Brandi and Travi McCoy. He worked hard and gathered experience first until such time that his talents were recognized and accepted. Bruno Mars started his career at Motown Records and after getting a recording deal, he became part of a trio called the Smeezingtons. Here, he wrote songs with Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine.
Bruno Mars made singles that truly made a difference in the hearts of his fans. It took a little bit of time before Bruno Mars got noticed by the Grammy's. He won the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance at the 53rd Grammy Awards and got numerous nominations such as Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Producer of the Year, Best Song Collaboration, and Best Rap Song. In the following years, he had been nominated and was able to take home many awards from different award giving bodies. In 2012, he released his second album Unorthodox Jukebox. In December of the same year, he landed a number two spot in the Billboard 200.
It is no wonder that Bruno Mars has loads of talent and charisma, after all he belongs to a family of performers. The well-loved Bruno Mars was born on October 8, 1985 and his real name is Peter Gene Hernandez. Peter Hernandez, Bruno's father, is half Puerto Rican and half Jewish and his mother was Filipino (sadly, his mom passed away in June, 2015 at the young age of 55). The couple met and fell in love during one of their shows together. Bruno was raised in Hawaii and had been performing on stage with the family since he was little. Bruno's nickname came from the wrestler Bruno Sammartino, whom he is said to bear a close facial resemblance to.
In 2003, he graduated from high school in Los Angeles, California and that is the time when he decided to go full time in his music career. He hasn't stopped making music ever since. The Moonshine Jungle World Tour is Bruno's biggest series of performances to date. Fans and music lovers, get ready to book your tickets today.
