With the rise in self-publishing, would-be authors with manuscripts gathering dust in their desk drawers (or on their hard-drives) are finding it easier than ever to get their books into the hands of readers. Unfortunately, many of these self-published books are published with DIY ebook covers so poorly made that many readers bypass some wonderful books based on the cover alone.

"You may have written a potential bestseller, but no one will know if your cover doesn't grab readers' attention -- people do judge a book by its cover," Shoshanna Evers says. "We have found that when an author gets a cover on, they tend to return and purchase multiple covers. Authors love the selection -- and the fact that they can see exactly what their cover will look like before they pay, and then can download it immediately, is really a tremendous benefit for authors."
