ContactMonkey Develops World’s First Salesforce App to Sync Email Open Data and Email Templates with Outlook and Gmail
Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) February 27, 2014 -- ContactMonkey (http://www.contactmonkey.com), a professional-grade email tracking and analytics service for individual users, has announced the world’s first salesforce app for Outlook, which allows users to sync Salesforce information, and to send Salesforce email templates from within Outlook.
The extension, available through the Salesforce AppExchange, only needs to be set up once, and is always available and continuously syncs email tracking data from Outlook to Salesforce.
A major draw of the system is that users can use Salesforce html email templates directly right within Outlook and automatically mail merge without any manual data entry or copy-and-paste any code.

In addition to the integration of Salesforce email templates, ContactMonkey’s extension also brings the email tracking data and analysis that the company is known for into Salesforce.com. Know who’s opened your messages, how many times an email has been opened, where in the world it was accessed and identify your hottest leads. In addition, this data can also be leveraged with native reporting from Salesforce. This allows sales managers to run reports on their team’s email activity and quickly gauge their emailing effectiveness.
According to Alex Smith, ContactMonkey’s CMO, the whole idea behind this app extension is to eliminate the need for manual data entry and instead, to focus on finding hot leads and closing sales efficiently. “Sometimes sales people don’t remember to sync their emails into Salesforce,” Smith said [With ContactMonkey], all you have to do is continuously press send and we will do the rest.”
Currently, the Salesforce email template integration is available for Outlook, but will soon also be available for integration into Gmail as well. Email sync is available for both Outlook and Gmail.
The Salesforce extension costs users $150 per year, or $15 per month and is available in the Salesforce app exchange. https://appexchange.salesforce.com/listingDetail?listingId=a0N3000000B4mHkEAJ.
