Got Reports? New Whitepaper Describing Reusable Workflow Templates for Delivering Reports and Data
Boulder, Colorado (PRWEB) February 28, 2014 -- Today, Flux released a new white paper: "Got Reports to Deliver?" This whitepaper presents a template workflow that can be quickly customized and deployed to address enterprise-scale report and data delivery.
Customers rely on Flux to flexibly address their file orchestration and process automation needs. Delivering reports and data to thousands of customers on complex and time-critical schedules is a common and mission critical use case for enterprises.
This whitepaper's template workflow starts with a simple database table containing the email address, file name, and timestamp of when the file was sent (initially an empty field). Every five minutes a timer fires, triggering a database query to locate files to send. For each record found, a Flux mail action builds an email using a customizable email template, and attaches the record-supplied file. The mail is sent, and the record's timestamp is updated in the database. In the event of a delivery failure, a notification is sent. The paper describes evolving this simple template into increasingly complex workflows to address an enterprise's delivery requirements.
