Piston won 12 ADDY awards from the 2014 American Advertising Awards San Diego chapter. In addition to 5 Bronze and 4 Silver ADDYs for various work with Oakley, Intuit and Sony, the agency earned 2 Gold ADDYs and the prestigious Best of Show for a 2013 Cars.com campaign named The Dramatizer.

“Cars.com takes the drama out of car shopping so we spilled it all over the web in this interactive and entertaining campaign,” said David Schafer, Piston’s executive creative director. "The executions, which ran on ESPN, Yahoo!, Pandora, CBS Sports and more throughout the year, give people the power to add drama to otherwise ordinary situations. Walking your dog. Scuba diving. Taking a leisurely drive. What could go wrong? Plenty.”

The ADDY Awards is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 50,000 entries every year in local competitions, according to the organization's website. A GOLD ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the category. The Best in Show Award is given to the best entry of the entire competition.

“It’s an amazing honor to be recognized at this level by the judges,” added John Hartman, president of Piston. “These wins are a reflection of our staff’s commitment to creating outstanding and effective work for clients, and I couldn’t be more proud.”
