William Shatner Slated to Appear at the Away Mission: Tampa Sci-Fi Convention April 11-13, 2014
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) March 12, 2014 -- Set for the second weekend of April and with many confirmed stars, artists, and authors, this weekend-long sci-fi convention presented by the Away Mission promises to be the sci-fi event of the year. William Shatner leads the pack with his second convention appearance in the sunshine state in the past decade. Captain Kirk in Star Trek: The Original Series TV show was just the springboard for this multitalented actor and all around performer.
He will be joined by the beautiful Alice Eve from the JJ Abraham film Star Trek Into Darkness where she plays Dr. Carol Marcus and Kirk’s likely-to-be love interest.
Rounding out the lineup are John DeLancie from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager, Kevin Sorbo from the Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Andromeda. Star of the Syfy series Warehouse 13, Eddie McClintock who plays secret service agent Peter Lattimer is also scheduled to attend.
Leonard Nimoy will be participating in a rare Q&A session with his fans via Skype for the first time since he recently announced that he was diagnosed with COPD, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
