@properties Hires The Schiller Team, No. 1 in Elmhurst Real Estate Sales
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 13, 2014 -- Chicago-based real estate firm @properties announced that The Schiller Team, the top-producing real estate brokerage team in Elmhurst with more than $90 million in annual sales volume, has joined the firm. The addition marks the largest single hiring of a suburban agent or agent team in @properties’ history, according to @properties co-founders Thaddeus Wong and Michael Golden.
The Schiller Team, which is headed by brother and sister, Tim Schiller, 37, and Amy Schiller, 48, comes to @properties from Koenig & Strey Real Living, where they were that firm’s No. 1 team. The Schillers are the second generation of a family that has been involved in Elmhurst real estate for more than 40 years. Their father, Bob Schiller, founded Schiller Real Estate in 1970 and sold it to Koenig & Strey Real Living in 2010.
The Schillers will be joined at @properties by their team of five licensed realtors. According to data from BrokerMetrics LLC, their hiring immediately makes @properties the No. 1 brokerage firm in Elmhurst by active listing volume, less than two months after announcing it was opening an office there.
According to Wong, the addition of the Schillers is the latest in a series of agent moves that have been fueled by the recently-announced merger of Koenig & Strey Real Living and Prudential Rubloff Properties under the Berkshire Hathaway Home Services brand. Last October, @properties landed top-producing luxury broker Emily Sachs Wong, who was Koenig & Strey’s No. 1 agent in the city at the time.
